Ventures Thinking Works Publishing Corporation is a leading book seller to educators, students and parents. The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Ventures Education Systems Corporation, a leading education professional development company located in downtown Manhattan. Ventures Education Systems Corporation provides K-12 professional development and comprehensive school reform programs to hundreds of schools nationwide.

Ventures Thinking Works Publishing Corporation came into existence after the purchase of Thinking Works, a thirty-year-old catalog retailer of education books. The founder of Thinking Works, Sandra Parks, is a nationally recognized educational consultant and a leading proponent of the use of "Thinking Skills" for student achievement. Sandra Parks is the author of many books that focus of student thinking and is a consultant to many school districts that have adopted her material as the basis for school reform.

In January of 2003, recognizing the synergy between the companies, Ventures Education Systems Corporation acquired Thinking Works to form Ventures Thinking Works Publishing Corporation. The new company remains dedicated to bringing the very best educational books and materials to educators, students and parents.
